A Calgary blogger became furious at seeing a few Rosedale residents’ responses to a low priced housing project authorized this week.

“I had to share the anger and disgust that I see with stigma concerning Calgary Housing residents. That stigma remains very much accessible,” Amber Cannon told CBC Information on Saturday.

Cannon — who lives in sponsored Calgary Housing — says remarks from some residents become complete of stereotypes that she says are sweeping generalizations.

“We do not need paintings. We reason trouble. We don’t preserve our yards easily. We’re drug customers. That isn’t the case,” she stated.

“We are hardworking citizens, and we appearance out for every different. We’re regular Calgarians that just need the quality of life for all of us. The stigma is without a doubt difficult to challenge.”

A sixteen-unit cheap housing project slated for eight skinny plots of unused land in the upscale northwest neighborhood received a committee’s approval on Thursday.
